I’ve already posted some photos from this place last year, so this year I returned to take some photos again. Funny, but I had similar weather this time too. Again there were cows, but this time I didn’t approach them. Though there was a surprise visit… In the distance I noticed something small and black walking towards me. Right away I knew that couldn’t be a dog, it was too different. When it walked closer to me I realized it was a small black pig. I think it was Vietnamese pig that actually lives at the nearby cottage. But that really is something unexpected when you’re up in the mountains, more or less in the middle of nowhere. That pig really made me laugh. =)
Other than that, I must say I enjoyed the fresh air, nature and sun. My mom was picking some plants she’ll use for a tea, so I helped her with that, though I don’t have much knowledge about which plant is which and why are they useful. She just shows me what to pick. But hey, it gets the job done. =D
I don’t like winter. I like some things about it, but in general, I don’t like it. I don’t like cold. I admit, snow looks nice and can be full of fun, but that hardly helps with the fact I have to deal with cold. Yeah, I know, I have to dress warm and it is ok… When cold weather starts I always need few days of whining, seems like this is now. These days it got a bit colder and it is very windy, but the worst thing is, that we all know this is just a start of winter and we are lucky it is still so warm – usually it is colder in the end of November.
Despite all my whining and complaining I just can’t ignore the fact that in weather like this, I live in one of the most beautiful places on Earth. At least for me, living in a valley and having a beautiful view on Alps – it is priceless. These days the weather was sunny and the sky was quite clear and visibility amazing. That is why I just had to take some photos of this gorgeous view I have from the area where I live.

I just realized that I didn’t post any photos from my trip to Zelenci, at the start of September. So a bit late, but I think it still counts, since photos are photos and it doesn’t matter when they were taken since it is landscape photography… =)
So there you go, some photos from a beautiful place called Zelenci, located in Gorenjska region of Slovenia, and this is actually one of the springs of Sava river.

You feel like standing on the edge?
Few days back I went to Slovenian mountains, even though I didn’t walk around much, because the main plan was to pick some herbs and plants for the tea. You know, good healthy stuff that grows in nature… =)
Well, beside picking up those plants I also took some time to shoot some photos. It was really nice area and there were cows, so I kinda felt like in some movie about countryside or something. I don’t think I took any photos of cows since I have SLR camera, so I was like: “Challenge accepted!”, but when I approached to them one of them started to make weird sounds and I wasn’t sure what it’s going to do. So slowly I moved a bit away, because I really didn’t want to risk being chased by some bull or cow. That would totally freak me out.
Anyway, cows stood there, moved a bit left, a bit right, but more or less they kept posing for my photos. Some of them were really acting so funny, like they knew I’m taking photos. Maybe they did? Well, I enjoyed taking this photos and I’ll try to go up to Slovenian mountains a bit more this summer, maybe not Kisovec again, even though it’s nice there too, but next time I’ll try to go to Velika Planina and I’ll go with a plan to walk around more, not just to pick herbs.
So, this are some photos from the day when cows posed for my camera. =)
“Kiss my ass!”
Idiotic face for the camera…
